![]() I did deduct one for some unnecessary confusion that other visitors to the waterpark only should be aware of. Overall my kiddos enjoyed their time at the waterpark, so i'm giving our experience 4 stars. We did not stay at this GWL, so I can't comment on the hotel room portion, however we did visit on a half-day waterpark pass. I believe English was their second language and I respect that but it made it quite difficult to get answers to questions like "Is there an area we could go get changed into dry clothing?" GWL used to be the most respected waterpark resort in the Dells. Many of the staff did not understand our questions or requests. We had a family staying above us with toddlers and they sounded like elephants wearing lead boots running around and jumping. The walls and floors of the rooms are paper thin. They said there was no substitutions allowed for any reason. They wouldn't even allow me to switch from fries to potatoes because the fries would have caused an allergic reaction. They asked us upon entering if we had any allergies and I'm not sure why they asked because no one cared. ![]() The Lodge Woodfired Grill costs as much as a Disney restaurant and the food is subpar at best. There isn't enough chairs or tubes for everyone. There are too many people allowed into the waterpark at once. They genuinely wanted everyone to have the best visit possible. Stay at least 2 nights, 3 would be perfect. Would leave property next time for most meals. Be prepared to get your steps in if you’re playing that. ![]() My kid liked MagiQuest more than the waterpark. Post-pandemic we just expected them to be understaffed and they did not appear to be. And an abundance of staff even for low crowd level. Everyone on staff was super pleasant and helpful and totally prepared to deal with kids and families. Actively watching and patrolling and checking in corners and tubes. Granted it was a low season time but soo many lifeguards. Watched them net the pools before opening, and test all the water, there were no foreign objects in any pool. As someone who is grossed out by public pools, again pleasantly surprised. We saw them dusting and there weren’t dust clouds coming off of things. For a hotel with heavy kid useage, things were clean and tidy. Pleasantly surprised with the level of cleanliness. Def our fault but just a few more signs for the directionally challenged would be awesome. The gentleman at the desk gave me very precise instructions and we got lost lol. We did a quick midweek visit with our 7yo son, very first thought was they need more signs telling you where to go once you’re inside. Be prepared to get your steps in if you’re playing that.įood was okay. ![]() Actively watching and patrolling and checking in corners and tubes.Įveryone on staff was super pleasant and helpful and totally prepared to deal with kids and families. ![]()
